What You’ll Learn:

  • Body Movement & Technique:
Learn the essential footwork and hip movement that form the foundation of Bachata. We’ll focus on isolating the body, incorporating smooth hip movements, and achieving the signature Bachata bounce to give your dancing its unique flair.

  • Musicality & Rhythm:
Master the rhythms of Bachata music, understanding the structure of the beats (basic counts and syncopation) and how to move to the rhythm of the song. You’ll learn how to listen to and interpret Bachata’s emotional melody and sync with its smooth tempo through body movements and footwork.

  • Expressive Movement & Styling:
Explore how to incorporate arm styling, shoulder movements, and body isolations to express the music’s sensuality and rhythm. We'll also work on fluidity—how to move seamlessly from one step to another while maintaining control and grace.

  • Timing & Flow:
Gain confidence in staying on time with the music. We’ll break down timing and explore syncopated steps and how to apply them to your dancing. By the end of the class, you’ll feel more confident with your rhythm and ability to flow with the music, all while dancing solo.

Why You Should Join:

  • Improve your musicality by learning to listen to and express the music through your movements.
